Latonja Lindsey

Founder and President

My name is Latonja Lindsey, and I am the Founder and President of Open Door Pathway. My mission is to create innovative housing solutions that help veterans and individuals experiencing homelessness move toward stability, independence, and a better future.

I began my career as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in 1995. Over the past 30 years, I have had the privilege of serving individuals in acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, in home care, mental health hospitals, substance abuse treatment centers, and respite care programs for individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. Those experiences shaped who I am today. They fostered a deep sense of compassion and care for others, strengthened my commitment to serving vulnerable individuals with dignity and respect, and established a lifelong commitment to helping those in need.

In 2014, I transitioned into accounting and business operations, where I have spent more than a decade strengthening financial management, compliance, administrative operations, and organizational efficiency. That experience taught me how strong systems, sound financial practices, and effective leadership can create organizations that are sustainable and positioned to make a lasting impact.

Open Door Pathway is the result of bringing those two parts of my life together. It combines my passion for serving others with my experience to create meaningful change. My vision is to develop structured housing programs, build strong community partnerships, and create innovative solutions that expand access to affordable housing while empowering individuals to achieve long-term independence.

I believe in creating pathways. Pathways that remove barriers, open doors, and empower people to build lasting independence.
